Lesley OsborneLesley Osborne is the head of Strategic Research at ACMA. Current projects have a focus on the audience and consumer aspects of emerging communications and regulatory issues, including the research program to support ACMA's forthcoming review of the Children's Television Standards and understanding the drivers for the adoption of digital terrestrial television in Australia.She has had an extensive career in broadcasting policy and regulation, including at the former Australian Broadcasting Authority, where she lead major reviews of Australian content regulation on commercial television, the operation of television sports rights regulation and the implementation of the drama expenditure requirement for subscription television. She also represented the ABA in international forums on children's television and issues around children's use of new media. Lesley has a Masters degree in Public Policy and a BA (Honours in Psychology), and had an earlier career in market and advertising research. « Back |
