Peter Morris

For the past ten years Peter has been the Principle of Telesis Consulting, a firm which works at the intersections of policy, economics and technology, particularly communication technology.  He began working in this area with the (then) Australian Broadcasting Tribunal as part of a small team undertaking the research and policy development for the Satellite Program Services report.

In the 20 or so years since working for the Tribunal and the beginning of this year he had been based in WA.  This presentation flows from his interest in globalisation and the impact of communications technologies on distance.  It also draws on empirical research undertaken for a study of Perth's creative industries during this year.
