Kerry McCallumKerry McCallum is a Lecturer in Communication at the University of Canberra. She recently graduated with a PhD from UC, and currently convenes the Bachelor of Communication (Honours) program and teaches in the fields of communication and public relations theory and research methods. She is an active researcher and the author of several papers and articles in the fields of public opinion, media representation and media history. She is the joint author of Woman from No Where, the oral history of Queensland Indigenous activist, Hazel McKellar. Kerry’s research interests include the study of public opinion on Indigenous issues, media history, and news framing of mental health, war, politics and Indigenous issues. Prior to joining academic life, Kerry worked in federal politics.
