Ross Kelso

Ross Kelso is a doctoral candidate within the Creative Industries Faculty at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane.  Until mid 2002, he was a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for International Research on Communication and Information Technology, CIRCIT@RMIT in Melbourne.  Between then and commencement of doctoral studies, Ross joined the National Office for the Information Economy to contribute to the Broadband Advisory Group.

Ross is an independent researcher and consultant, skilled also in writing, lecturing and media presentation.  His professional background includes over 30 years as an engineer and manager in the telecommunications industry. (http://www.rosskelso.com)  His qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours and a Master of Engineering Science both from the University of Queensland, and more recently a Graduate Diploma in Media, Communications and Information Technology Law from the University of Melbourne.

Ross is currently a Director of the Internet Society – Australian Chapter and serves on the Council of the Consumers’ Telecommunications Network.
