Chris led Lake Technology Limited as CEO between 2000 and 2005. Under Chris's direction, Lake moved from research potential, through extensive commercialization of Digital Sound Processing products into global customer relationships. Chris negotiated ongoing funding by placement during the tech crash era, until principal global technology company, Dolby Laboratories, acquired Lake by takeover at yearend 2004.

Dolby subsequently retained Chris to advise Dolby companywide on global consumer issues, customer relationships in Asia and digital development. These include relationships with Nokia, Samsung and Sony.

A leading entrepreneur and business executive, Chris has been a significant force in developing content and technology industries in Australia in the music, IP, marketing and technology areas.

He was Senior Executive VP at BMG Records leading the development of the enhanced CD and also applications for audio streaming of music.

He was one of the founding shareholders of the first commercial FM radio station in Australia, 2MMM. He has produced TV programs, pioneered Internet radio, and predicted the rise of the music download business with his 1999 book, The Infinite Digital Jukebox. Chris has been on the leading edge of how technology impacts society for a number of years.

Now an investor in convergent technology companies and an associate of leading Australian VC, Allen & Buckeridge, Chris is a Founding Partner and Executive Chairman of Perceptric Media Pty Limited, Interim CEO of Videacom Pty Limited, a Web 2.0 company focused on video analysis and search co-founded with Silvia Pfeiffer who led a group at CSIRO for 6 years focusing in this area, and an advisory board member of NetCat, an enterprise content publishing tools company based in Sydney, Australia

He was also former Chairman of Export Music Australia, founding Chairman of the Golden Stave Foundation, and led Australian Government trade delegations on copyright issues. He was awarded the Order of Australia in 1992.
