Digital Action, Licence A and Licence B

Date: Wednesday, 14 March 2007
Venue: KPMG Auditorium, Sydney

Some of the new services licensed in 2007 will be narrowcast, some will be mobile, and some will be extra services of current channels.  How will this work, within the growing thicket of digital TV regulation?  Where will the revenue come from? Who will be eligible for a licence?

How soon will all the audience be equipped for digital?  How far have we advanced already in digitalisation, and what of the new Digital Action Plan?  This seminar tried to help everyone understand the next steps and the long term prospects for digital TV: business, planning, licensing and regulation.

The seminar did not deal directly with the pending changes in control and ownership of media, new and old.  They will be covered in a separate event.
