Reg Coutts

Reg Coutts, Professor Emeritus of Telecommunications at the University of Adelaide, is the principal of Coutts Communications Pty Ltd (www.couttscommunications.com).

Reg spent 17 “developmental” years with Telstra in Melbourne including the Telstra Research Labs and the nascent Telstra Mobiles business in the late 80s. Obviously needing a total change, Reg went to the University in 1993 to build deeper telecommunications industry linkages as Professor of Telecommunications.

Professor Coutts is internationally recognised for his contributions to innovation in the telecommunications industry and wireless / mobile sector in particular.

Reg holds a BSc, BE (Hons) and PhD degrees from the University of Adelaide and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Engineers (IEAust), a Senior Member of the American Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (SMIEEE) and member of the Australian Computer Society.
